Local's Love the Biltmore Estate

One of the top priorities on a local's yearly household budget is a season pass to the Biltmore Estate. Year after year, we just can't get enough.

Riding Bikes Along the French Broad River in Asheville, NC

ENJOY AN EASY 5 TO 8 MILE BIKE RIDE ALONG THE FRENCH BROAD RIVER

Somedays we feel like wandering about one of the most luxurious houses on earth. On other days, we might want to stroll through old world gardens, or ride our bikes next to the French Broad River.

If romance is in the air, you will find us stretched out on a blanket with a picnic basket. There are numerous grassy knolls with spectacular views of the mountains. No matter what you decide to do, the Biltmore Estate is an amazing, unforgettable experience.

Basic Information About the Biltmore Estate:

The Biltmore House was built by George Vanderbilt in the late 19th century. It is America's largest private home. The Vanderbilt home has 255 rooms and still contains its original collection of 50,000 furnishings, artwork and antiques. The 8,000 acre estate also features fabulous gardens designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted and a winery which produces award-winning, European-style wine.

Holiday Inn Biltmore East Offers 1 and 2 Night Packages Which Include:

A room with mountain views, a hot breakfast buffet for two, a bottle of Biltmore wine and 2 tickets to the Biltmore Estate for two days. For our Biltmore Packages we also offer the opportunity to check in early and check out late. While I can not quote the price here, it is an unbelievable deal. In fact, as a local, I was wowed when I saw it! Two full days on the estate allows our guests ample time to:

  • Tour the Biltmore House and Gardens

  • Take a Tour of the Winery

  • Bike and Hike the Many Trails (Biltmore offers rentals)

  • Picnic and Relax

  • Have a Romantic Dinner

In order to experience the house like a local, take your time. If you are staying with us for a week, or more, you may want to upgrade your ticket to a season pass. This will afford you the opportunity to drive in and out, have a meal, or enjoy a coffee on the veranda of the Inn. The Inn has some adirondack chairs that we often sit in to experience this view.
